Today, May 15th, 2025 is National Peace Officers Memorial Day. The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office would like to honor all of the fallen Peace Officers today and every day. We would like to pay a special tribute to one of our own fallen, Deputy Matthew Pierson #9454. Matt served this county proudly for just a few days before his End.Of.Watch on August 29th, 2023. He was full of personality and selflessness; he was a great addition to The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. His absence is felt by those who had the opportunity to know him for the short time he was with us.
